About IET

Indonesia Energy Transition Implementation Joint Office (IET) is part of the National Energy Transition Task Force and the Supporting Task Force for the Implementation of the National Energy Transition in the Power Sector which aims to support the acceleration of energy transition in the power sector to achieve the target of Net Zero Emission (NZE) by 2060. In pursuing this objective, IET is committed to be a platform for connecting collaboration between related stakeholders, including ministries, agencies, private sector and other institutions through collaborative investment enhancement

To be a One-Stop Gateway and Epicentrum of Synergy for financiers, developers and project owners by connecting them to collaborate and innovate in the infrastructure and development of renewable projects in Indonesia

History

To support the acceleration of energy transition in Indonesia, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Decision of Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investment No. 144 of 2023 has established the National Energy Transition Task Force (Satgas TEN), to oversee Indonesia's energy transition process to achieve the Net-Zero Emission (NZE) target by 2060. One of the efforts to support their dailytasks, especially in the power sector, Satgas TEN formed the Supporting Task Force in the Power Sector officially launchedthe Indonesia Energy Transition Implementation Joint Office (IET) on January 17, 2024, located at Rumah PATEN, Jalan Tirtayasa IX No. 1 South Jakarta

Organizational Structure

IET is led by Chairman and Vice Chairman from the Supporting Task Force for the Implementation of the National Energy Transition in the Power Sector. According to Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investment Decision No. 186 of 2023, the Chairman of IET is Edo Mahendra, serving as Special Advisor to the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment in the field of Carbon Trading, Ministry of Coordinating Maritime Affairs and Investment. As for the Vice Chairman of IET, it is Yusuf Didi Setiarto, serving as Director of Legal and Human Capital Management at PT PLN (Persero)

To support its daily tasks, IET has formed a technical study team from the Supporting Task Force for the Implementation of the National Energy Transition in the Power Sector, consisting of 16 experts in the fields of planning, projects, financing, law, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)
