IET Joint Office Participates in Bangun Bangsa Conference 2024, Emphasizing Solidarity for Accelerating Decarbonization across Asia-Pacific

IET Joint Office recently participated in the Bangun Bangsa Conference 2024, bringing forward the theme of "Solidarity in Action: Accelerating Decarbonization across Asia-Pacific." Representing the IET Joint Office, Angela Putriny Mangeka, an Energy & Sustainable Finance Specialist, took part as a speaker in one of the panel discussions. During the session, she highlighted the role of the IET Joint Office in promoting energy transition and decarbonization efforts. She also elaborated on the Indonesian government’s supportive measures, including incentives and regulatory frameworks, that are currently in place to facilitate the energy transition and decarbonization initiatives in Indonesia. Furthermore, in another panel session, the panellists deliberated on partnership solutions between government and private sectors to expedite decarbonization and the adoption of energy transition, as well as strategies to address various challenges encountered, particularly in the areas of policy and funding. The conference also featured various speakers from the government, policymakers, industry players, public policy institutions, and SMEs, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in accelerating the achievement of net zero emissions across the Asia-Pacific region.
