The Indonesian Government continues to accelerate the implementation of the energy transition and promote investment in the electricity sector through various innovative strategies. One of its latest initiatives is the development of CONNECTIVITY, a digital platform designed to strengthen the country’s energy investment ecosystem.

CONNECTIVITY (Collaborative Network of New and Clean Technology Investment in Electricity) is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), PT PLN (Persero), Rumah PATEN, and PLN Icon Plus. The platform serves as a communication hub connecting project owners, developers, financial institutions, and other stakeholders, aiming to facilitate access to information on energy transition projects across Indonesia.

Designed as a one-stop information exchange center, the platform includes both RUPTL-listed and non-RUPTL projects. CONNECTIVITY also seeks to address common challenges faced by investors, such as the lack of clear entry points and suboptimal data integration across sectors.

During the Dissemination of the National Electricity General Plan (RUKN) and PLN’s Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL) 2025–2034 held on Monday, June 2, 2025, in Jakarta, Director General of Electricity, Jisman Hutajulu, emphasized that CONNECTIVITY provides essential information, including the RUPTL, making it easier for the public to access and align with national electricity planning policies.

In the same event, Edo Mahendra, Executive Chairperson of the Indonesia Energy Transition Implementation Joint Office, stated that CONNECTIVITY was developed to create enabling conditions that support the acceleration of energy projects in an efficient and systematic manner. The platform is also expected to reduce the high costs typically associated with finding project or financing partners, which have often hindered investment transactions in the past.

More than just a state-owned digital platform, CONNECTIVITY reflects a multi-stakeholder collaboration bringing together regulators, PLN, the private sector, and international partners as part of a collective effort to reinforce the foundation of Indonesia’s national energy transition strategy.

CONNECTIVITY is scheduled to be officially launched at the Indonesia Electricity Investment Summit in August 2025, as one of the key pillars of the national strategy to attract greater investment into the power sector.
